Problem
City of Johannesburg CGIS department required a fully functional GIS web application for their Intranet and Internet environments.

The Intranet and Internet Sites, displaying basic spatial information for the City of Johannesburg is available to everyone who has access to the Internet.
Also ESRI ArcMobile was used for field worker remote and mobile access.

The types of information that are available include:

PSAD GIS under took various projects within the City namely the development of address capturing system, Development of proposed township system, Development of customised ArcIMS mapping services – moving platforms from Microsoft SQL Server to IBM DB2, Development and Implementation of the Urban Monitoring Management system including the field workers mobile field workers application
